All about the little blond haired boy

Phillip Hendrix - the most awesome little boy you'll ever meet. :) Could it be that I'm partial?

Born on a gloomy, gray Thursday, on the 19th of November, the Thursday before Thanksgiving. My little turkey baby. 7 lbs 12 oz, 20 inches long. Despite the pain, labor went very well. I was induced a week past his due date at 8 am. I asked for my epidural at 4 pm, at only 5 centimeters. Praying for relief, I waited. And waited. And waited. Relief wasn't coming, what was wrong? The left side of my body was great, couldn't feel anything. The right side of my body was another story. For whatever reason, the epidural didn't work on the entire right side of my body. I felt it all. (*shudder*) So, I dealt with contractions 1 at a time.....it took me 12 hours to get from 0-5 cm. It took me only 2 hours to get from 5-10 cm. What a blessing! The worst part of labor was sooooo short compared to the rest of it. So, after 14 hours of exhausting labor, I only pushed for 20 minutes, and there was Hendrix! Dr. Leggat sat the squirmy, warm little bundle on my tummy and I was in awe! The doctor was finishing up down there, but I was oblivious. For 9 long months I had wondered what this little creature was going to look like, how big he would be, and now here he was, in my arms at last!

He had a reddish tint to his hair for the first few months of his life. He was born with blue eyes. He rolled over at 2 months, got his 2 lower teeth at 6 months, crawled and pulled up at 7 months, got his 4 upper teeth at 7.7 months, and took his first steps (which turned into running steps) at 9 months. Now, at 9 months, he's as blond as they come, and his eyes are bright blue, and his 6-toothed grin is the most heart-melting thing you'll ever see!

He blabbers all the time ("dada" is his favorite word right now), and enjoys clapping his hands and banging 2 objects together to see what sound they make. ***I'm giggling right now, just thinking about his cuteness!*** He tries to chase the dog, but Corduroy has learned to steer clear, and usually Hendrix can't catch him!
He is such a great joy. I'm such a proud momma!
